"sun" day fishin on big blue
#1
Took off for the bear this morning trying to repeat a little of the success my bro aka fishjon had on friday! The crew included my bro inlaw Gary, good friend Kam, and my 7 year old Hunter. Started fishing at about 8 30 and what can I say exept it felt like summer time on the ice. Thanks to my wife, that got fried last weekend and put sunscreen it my tacklebag. Fishing was tuff!!! I stared at the finder diligently for 5 hours only marking 5 lookers and no takers. I took Jons advice and switched every time they didn't hit. At 3 30 we were all standing at my hole talking about going home when I looked down to see a fish streaking off the bottom, thunk it smacked it hard, I jerked harder, the fish swam at me fast, I reeled faster, headshake, fish gone...son of a and I was gonna finish the sentence then remembered the kid was watchin me! I was sure I had blown it, I fished all day for that one chance and I blew it!! We decided to give it 20 more and ten minutes later, shwack I had another pinned under the hole. After a 5 minute fight I landed a beauty!! Gary made the call we better stay for 20 min more!! He decided the best thing to do was fish in my hole with my pole!! Turned out to be a good plan as he hooked up in 5 min. Gary doesnt get the chance to fish much and after a 12 min battle landed the biggest fish of his life!! Thanks to big blue for all the great memories, I will look at her in a different light when I'm playin on the beach this summer!! Couldnt get the vid to upload but check it out at http://youtu.be/2RaPAApXjNk

Going in the AM with Lava, but no tubes, no worms, no Cisco - we're fishing nothing but spinners, as if it were open water. [:p]

let ya know how we do. At least we can catch a sunburn!

Worst day fishing beats . . .
