After two days fishing last weekend without a bite, I finally hooked up today. Ended up with two macks including this one plus a nice cutt. Got all of my fish in 60 feet off the rock pile. I moved out to 80 feet at about 11 AM and had a bunch of bites after that but couldn't connect.
There's still a few inches of snow on the ice keeping it insulated and it hasn't even really started to melt yet. Sure wish I had a sled or a 4 wheeler. That was a LONG hike out there.

Still 12 to 14 inches of good solid ice. There were a few places where the edges were soft but no issues getting on or off.

That is an awesome fish. I just a bit shallower. When you help up that fish for a picture I was jealous. Heck of a fish!!
What were the dimensions? I'm curious what the length and girth were.
I might have to start fishing deeper rather than shallower like my hunch has been telling me to do. Hard to move around with all the people out there without pissing someone off.
Congrats

I guess I need to get a scale and carry a tape measure. I didn't actually measure it.
Thanks a lot by the way for snapping a few photos if that was you. I'm usually out there fishing by myself.

I didn't take the picture. I just saw you hold it up. Looked like a PIG. I'm guessing it was over 15 for sure.
