All that wind today should have helped break things up a bit. Come on open water! My float tube awaits...

Were you in a 16ft. blue fiberglass boat ? I was down there too. Provo and Lindon are opening up nicely. you can get in at Provo at the river.

So the canals are open, but is mudlake open ?? Are you launching on the east or west side of the freeway ?? From the description, it sounded like you were on the east side, which would be interesting. I have launched my toon there several times and have always been hassled by someone from the golf course. Seems they feel the water ways are theirs. Going under the freeway is an interesting experience !! Have done it only once, too many spiders for me. How was the fishing ??? water is still pretty cold, any takers ??

We ice fished the harbor at lincoln yesterday and their is still a good 10 inches of clear ice under the slush but the main lake did start to push up on to the banks while we were their. I did miss 4 bites i couldn't set the hook right, on one of them i saw at the bottom of the ice was a huge gill so their are some fish in their. you have to access the ice from the dock for a safe time open water on the edges on the north side. It wont be long now.

launched from the west side of the freeway. Muddlake is thawed west for about 800 feet and north and south for about 3000. I didnt do much fishing I was working a young retriever but no bites for what little I did try. I was on the north side of the lake trying to shoot some snow geese today and the private marina in saratoga is thawed as well as a 500 or so foot sliver around the north end of the lake. My boat will get around in under a foot of water but I dont think I would try to squeeze the 1851 under the freeway.
