New little reservoir for a float tube day
#1
Went for an exploritory drive Sunday afternoon to check out some small reservoirs north of Glens Ferry I had heard about. We looked down on Morrow first. Realized the easier access was from the valley.
Went on North to Blair Trail and saw this large muddy storage res. Didn't look good right now. Headed East on King Hill Rd to find this other very small res. and it's looks awesome.

There were 2 fisher girls there who were doing very well on the trout and even a couple Yellow belly bullheads. They had lost there stringer with 3 short of there limit but with the aid of one of my rachet straps we hood the stringer and recovered the lost fish, so they in a few mintues were able to limit out and go home.

We had a wonderful day.

Great report. I love exploring "new to me" areas, especially when you find a tiny gem.

DANG GUM IT! First IdahoRon finds my honeyhole for sturgeon and now you find my honeyhole for largemouth.

Just teasing. Morrow used to be totally amazing, but the F&G doesn't own the water and it has been completely drained several times over the years for irrigation. There was a time there were big crappie and lots of nice bass. The road in is by the blue silo. The creek is rumored to be good where in dumps in to the river. PM Sent.
