Warm Water Fishing is Heating Up

Been catching some big (and a few small) bluegills lately. Can't wait until warmer weather.

Bluegills are always a fun fish. Here's 1 lb, 10 and 1/4 in blue from a week ago.

Zebra Midge??? Looks like a green and red Chironomid .

Not to me. It looks like a midge. Maybe a matting midge or even a manozo midge.

I learned tons from Hank Patterson. He's one great fly fishing expert.

I might need to tie up a Betty white midge one day or even a candy cane midge because it represents a candy cane and who doesn't like candy canes. [laugh]

FG is right it isn't a zebra midge but a chironomid I tied.
