Deer Creek today
#1
Checked through the posts and didn't see any recent info on Deer Creek, so thought I better put up some information.

Deer Creek is completely open water, at least down to Rainbow bay coming from the Midway end. Fished from shore and caught a few to eat. Released a few. As has been reported, Deer Creek is rising, and almost full. The Island is and Island.

Drove by Jordanelle, and it has fishable open water around the edges, and still some ice in the middle.

Drove by Echo, and same as Jordanelle, has open water that could be fished, with some ice in the middle.

Good luck!

Didn't get a good look at that part of the lakeon the drive by heading back to I-80.

Maybe another BFTer can chime in. I would think with the warm temps this week there has to be some fishable water in that arm.

Thanks for the report. I will be heading up sometime during the weekend of April 6th/7th.

On a sidenote...has anyone seen Rockport recently? I usually like to spend time at both lakes whenever I get a chance. I know that Rockport is a little higher in elevation so it tends to ice-off a little later than DC, but usually only by a couple weeks.

One last chunk of ice just in the mouth of the Provo River arm of the lake which I would bet that it will be gone by the weekend.

The nelle is opening up quick.
