Spawn closures
#1
So with the stretch of the Provo River from I-15 to Utah Lake being closed until May, I have a question. At what point in the lake is it legal to fish where the river comes in? Is there a certain amount of feet you're supposed to be from it? Are you legal as long as you're not casting into the mouth of the river?
Just to be clear, I have NO plans to go try it. I have just always been curious.

Yes, yes you can. I obviously read that wrong in the proclamation. Let me say, my bad... but what about like AF Creek?

Most of the time the it is defined as where the river enters the lake.

So if the water that you are fishing in is within the currant level of the lake then you should be fine but it is kind of a grey area.

Quote:Reservoir means the standing water level existing at any time within a reservoir basin. Unless posted otherwise, a stream flowing inside or within the high water mark is not considered part of the reservoir.

The only exception that I'm aware of is the Provo River at the Center Street bridge. That is the only place where there is a defined boundary that exists regardless of water level, or flow.
