Got to Ellis about 7:00 pm. Friday night. Not near as busy as expected. Talked to fish biologist and he said catch rates are horrible and not many more fish expected. So Saturday morning, bright and early we began pounding the water. And guess what? By the end of the day we had clocked 39 hours of fishing and had hooked 8 fish. For you guys that fish that area you know that those are not wonderful numbers, but if could have been a lot worse. Are you ready for this? Eight fish and we couldn't get one of them into the net. I don't know what bad JuJu we got into but quite frustrating. So Sunday morning back at it bright and early again, hooked our first fish at 11:00 and at noon we finished up our trip with a double hook-up all three fish being landed. Two weeks ago I landed my biggest Salmon steelhead I had ever caught at almost 31 inches. The fish biologist that was standing over us as we landed the last two fish was giddy with actually having some fish to check and do his thing on considering not much had been going on. I got a second personal best this time a 30 inch male. Pretty cool and worth the trip. By the way the weather was FANTASTIC and I am pleasantly roasted to a nice crispy redness! Great way to start out the spring![[Image: happy.gif]](http://www.bigfishtackle.com/images/gforum/happy.gif)
