Another old fart and I hit UL again today. Didn't launch outta Provo harbor until about 10. Went to Mud Lake first - ZILCH, water only about 52 to 53 deg. Murky as heck too. Ran to the Knolls, water @ 57 deg. there. Picked up a couple cats (TubeDude cookie cutter size). Caught them just drifting minnows with the gentle breeze. Ran up to the north side of Pelican Pt. & did the same drift thing & picked up six more same size range. Split for the harbor @ 4 PM & the water was about 57.8 deg. then. No wind to speak of today, just breezes & a couple times the lake got almost mirror flat. Much fun & gonna have some good eatin'.

Nice work Tom. It was great to meet you at the harbor. Thanks for stopping by. We got the outboard tuned and she is going back in her slip today and after the spring weather moderates she'll be out chasing catfish. I'm looking forward to seeing you again. Warmest regards, Steve

Bottom. Anywhere from 3 to 8'. Most of them came from pretty shallow.

I was tickled to see the pontoon parked there when we came in & glad to meet up with you fellers. That's just a great (plus many, many other complimentary adjectives) thing you are doing for some mighty deserving folks. I'm lookin' forward to gittin' out witcha' & doin' what I can to help out.
How long do you 'spect it'll take to run across the lake to Pelican Pt. with that outfit?

If the weather permits, I intend to put her through her sea trials and I will time it. It appears that with wide open throttle she will go about 20 knots, which is pretty fast for a 35' pontoon, I'll let you know and we'll get over there and try it as soon as possible.
