Yuba Report
#1
Took the trailer and boat to Oasis campground Wednesday for some R&R and a little fishing. [inline "DSC03649family photo.JPG"]
The fishing was a little slow but the few we caught made up for all of the casting.

We caught some in little coves with submerged foliage and some along gravel beaches.

I think the water is still too cold for the Northern's to get aggresive.

Nothing beats time with the family fishing....

Big guy...I did not get a water temp....just a guess. It was only my second trip to Yuba and I am no Northern expert.
Trevor...yes it was fun, I hope you are getting a little fishing in.
Kent...I am lucky, my family likes to camp and fish. My 2 girls where planning on coming friday but the rainy weather scared them away.
Are you planning a Sturgeon trip anytime soon??

Yes, but not soon enough. It has been two years since I fished for them from my boat and the withdrawal pain is something awful.

I hope to make it up to Idaho later this summer. Sounds like we might have to buy an invasive species tag to get our boats into the state.
I was going to mention on my Yuba report that we ate one of the pike. I had never kept one before and decided to see how they taste... My opinion: other than walleye they are the best tasting Utah fish...
