I was hoping to avoid the Ice and Cat contest overlapping. But seems like everyone is pretty well done with ice, and numbers of folks are already out getting into some nice kitties.
Proposal:
End the Ice-Fishing Challenge
Open the Cat-Fishing Challenge to entries
I don't like to change rules mid-stream, but seems like this might be the right decision as this juncture. Don't want anyone upset, or left out. So ANY objection can be posted, or PMd to me.
If no-one has a problem with this proposal, I'll suggest moving the Cat-Opener to 4/10, and giving till the end of this week for any last minute ice-entries.
Anyone - anyone?

Just finish the ice contest. I haven't been on hard deck since February on tibble with 4" of solid ice and sketchy stupid bows that were starring at my jigs so I called it done back then. I'm good with it!!! Don't count me in the kitty contest because I don't know a single thing to catch any of those type of monsters [laugh]. I catch them by going after other fish. [angelic]

I vote that we go ahead and end the Ice Fishing Challenge. Sad to see the ice go but ready to get the boat out. If we could just get some warmer days back.

Thanks to everyone for your participation and support. When so much in life seems to work against me, it's nice to have the support and appreciation of you BFTers. Just glad to be able to help make it happen.
Had some great trips with some fine anglers, new friends and old. Even tried some new waters. Shame to say goodbye to the ice, but it'll be back next year!

Congrats to your son too, think he'll be taking the kid-award me thinks!!

For me it's don't be lazy, put all ice gear from the garage to the storage room after it sitting since February, and just keep fly fishing for the fly fishing contest. I have a feeling the bass arn't shy anymore because someone caught another bass in my little happy condo. Catching bass every time I go no matter what in the past few weeks [cool]. No monsters YET. I'll put it on the board, but at the very least - count on a $25 Wavefishing certificate for the biggest cat caught by a kid 15 or under. I think I can add a little bling to spruce that offer.

We're actually pushing toward that 49 entry "limit". So if you've got folks that want in, might wanna get moving. The contest board has a (close to) updated list. Still running about 50:50 N vs S.
But you gotta consider - every Northern Catter probably qualifies for double the points of any Southern Catter, so . . . bring it!
