Just left Pelican Bay area after fishing from shore just this evening. Not a nibble, but saw a few bullheads taken in off the dike. . Usually I can find bluegills, crappie, a few whities, and a cat or two, but not yet, it looks like. I bet in two days it'll be nuts.Of course I work the next 5 days, though.[frown]

[#0000FF][cool]It WILL get better. This time of year...and with a period of warm weather...the fishing can be vastly better from one day to the next.

That's what I was figuring, I just hate missing that first good day. My schedule (7 days on/7 days off, long days) gives me lots of time off, but I have learned for sure, you have to fish when conditions are right, and I felt like I was mere hours early on this trip.

most of the fisherman I have seen lately have been in too deep of water. fish near the reeds where its less than 18 inches deep and use and open bail or a bobber.

That's actually exactly where I was; just a short cast off shore. I think I just missed them.[bobbeaten]
