Lowell Smallmouth

Took one of my boys fishing trying to get him his first smallmouth. Much like the rest of the lake the smallmouth were biting really well. Managed to land some nice fish including his first and a nice 3.5lber. Tube jigs were the ticket for us.

NICE! Man i wish it wasnt soooo dang windy here right now i would love to go put a herting on some smallies just restocked my senko's and hooks relined the reel and have gas in the boat now just need the wind down below 15mph lol

good place for a potential record in my opinion, seen and caught several that should be about the state record by now.....

always been able to do will with the Smallies at Lowell. I focus mostly by the concrete structures with worms and usually do very well.

Saw the BBB Open won there a few years ago. We had been flipping for largemouth and ended up there in the afternoon, weighed in 3 smallies and had just over 9 lbs. My partners missed 3 others with the net, but that's fishing. The guys that won sat there all day. I always figured that was a kitty hole.
