Non-toxic Jig Heads?

I need some help fellas. I'm planning on a fishing outing to Shoshone Lake in Yellowstone next week and want to take my son on his first big fishing outing with us. However he isn't up to casting a fly rod that well, not to mention I don't have sinking line for a second rod yet. other problem is that the park bans lead. I've looked for non-toxic jig heads but only found two online sites that sell them, and one seems to be abandoned, the other one is so poorly designed that when you add it to your cart there is then no way to get to checkout. Greentackle.com I believe is one of them before a helpful soul does a google search and suggests it. So, does anyone know where I could either buy some or anyone on here in the Idaho Falls region perhaps poor them themselves and I could buy them from said environmentally conscious persons. Silver or gold work well. If you run into a bear shoot lead or pull Big pepper spray.

If you go to the windriver fishing channel on YouTube you can see my trip from last year. The easiest thing to do is troll dare devil type spoons. We also used white tube jigs. We used the steel weights found at wall Mary. Tied them on jig hooks and stuffed them in tubes. It does work and is a cheap alternative.

Maybe check the flyshops. They are pricy but you could try putting tungsten beads on your line above the hook. Most flyshops also have moldable nonlead paste that you can form on your line, and nonlead wire etc.

Sorry for the late reply on this. Thanks for the suggestions guys. I considered the tungsten bead idea, and I may yet try it. But ultimately I went to Roknaks and bought some lead free solder and melted that down to pour my jigs! Worked like a charm. I now have about 50 jigs that I can tie up as weighted flies. As for the tube jig idea I love it but the yellowstone regs state that you can't use any artificial additives such as soft plastics. Only natural stuff like feathers. Not sure how they view threads and chennile but oh well. I also picked up some daredevil spoons to try out.

On a better note some friends went up yesterday that won't be making it this next week. Apparently the water was extremely cold but the fishing was great with the 4 of them landing around 70 fish for the day. All were macs except 2 brookies. I can't wait to get up there!

I read the regs. again and didn't see any thing against tubes or plastics. As long as they are no lead, barbless, no scent salt etc... I don't think there is a problem. To me artificial fly or lure just means no bait or scent. Many tubes are made without salt or scent. Just my interpretation.

In the basic part of the rules it says exactly as you stated, but if read further down it says these items "No organic or inorganic baits are allowed." and then below that a few lines it elaborates, "Inorganic baits include rubber worms, and plastic 'twister' tails." This is bottom, left column page 5 of the regs. It doesn't say anything about tube jigs, but I was thinking that qualify but then again I could be wrong. Guess I'll have to try and ask an actual ranger about it. I would just had for one of us on here to get ticketed because of a simple misunderstanding of regs (like that ever happens [crazy]).
