Big Sur Central California Kayak Rockfish Report

Was out on the Central coast of California fishing the Big Sur Coast on my Kayak the Memorial day weekend. The full moon was out at night and the fish were not biting as good as usual. I caught some lingcod and rockfish, but had trouble dealing with the added wind factoring into the equation. Since I was unable to stay on the spots I spent a lot of time paddling just to get back in position. It was a lot of fun as usual though.

I was just using Knife jigs, large jigs tipped with some artificial squid strips.

Anyone else have problems catch bottom fish like lingcod and rockfish during the full moon.

The sound around you is really clear (paddling, etc..) just needs your voice more clear, have you considered wearing a mic?
