Willard Stunk it up today
#1
Fished from 6:15 until 11:30. Started at Freeway Bay for Wipers then switched to Walleyes by the light pole. Then tried for smallies on the west shore. Nothing was biting, nothing. Water was 66.7 and warmed to 69. I HATE WILLARD!! almost as much as I hate the smell of skunk.

Did you mark any fish? Maybe the last couple of cooler days have them with lock jaw. Weather should even out through the weekend.

Fished freeway bay Thursday evening with same results as you nada.....
Went back out this morning, were actually 1st in the parking lot but much different results. Stayed clear of freeway bay and caught 4 nice fat wipers between 18-21" and an eye to boot.
Just got done eating fresh slain wiper nugs.

Yes we marked fish but couldn't get them to bite anything. We fished crankbaits, worm harness', jigs, fished fast, slow and medium. Just not my day I guess.

it's a stupid lake. 4 times out of 5 I leave wondering why I insist on going there, and then the 1 trip happens and I just can't bring myself to go back to chasing trout...it's sort of a trophy lake for me. One healthy wiper is worth at least 10 cookie cutter bows on any other lake!

Let me know if you want to go out and get skunked on willard some time!

We nailed em last night, probably boated 30 fish, smallys, wipers and one cat, seemed like everything was biting! (Even the mosquitoes were hungry!)

Fished it today, water clarity poor, but fish are still biting, did good with both Walleye and wiper.Changed tactics with the Walleye, they have moved deeper since the cold front. Wiper still running at mid depth. Standard Crank colors.
