My computer hosed
#1
He all,

I've seen a few posts lately with some bad luck like stolen boat covers and broadsided cars. Those things were someone elses fault.

Well my home computer is hosed and it's my fault. Actually, it's not my fault that it's hose but it's my fault I wasn't better backed up. Heck, I can't even find my appllication software to rebuild with. So, I'm sending this PM from the library (pretending to do "research").

I sure miss my 3-times a day BFT fix.

But at least me and AF DAn will be boating Bear Lake the day after Thanksgiving. I expect we will get some pictures but no way to post them. Bummer.

Have a happy Thanksgiving and be thankful for all the many blessings we have each and every day.

OUCH! I know how you feel I seized my confuzer earlier this year and luckily I have the disk to rebuild it, yeah it was no virus either I did it all on my little lonesome screwing around, but the recovery disk helped out a lot and I didn't lose anything.

Good luck with the confuzer and fishing on Friday!

Sorry to hear about your computer, but at least you will be able to view the board at work. My computer has been causing me some problems for a while now but as long as it is still working I'll keep my back up computer in the closet. I bought the back computer over a month ago for 200.00 and other than trying it out, I've yet to get on line with it. Good luck getting yours up and running again. WH2

I am sure most internet users no but I always recommend virus protection, firewall and a belkins surge protector which protects your phone line too.

You can actually download a free firewall from Zonealarm.com. Make sure to have virus scanner on 24/7 along with firewall espcially if you have DSL or cable modem.

I do not know what caused your computer issues but 90% of the time it's due to either power surges or virus(s)

Hope this helps[Wink]

Hey Coot sorry to hear about your puter. Now quit worrying about it and go catch some fish at Bear lake! If ya can't get it up and running, maybe I can help. I'm no guru but I keep ours pluggung along with teens who are in love with MS's registry. Let me know if you need some help restoring your system.
