NAVAJO LAKE SPLAKE
#1
My first splake! Only ended up fishing for about 3 hours total. Turns out honey moons don't leave much time for fishing..... Was able to catch a decent 7 lb splake. and a few smaller brookies. Not a bad start to a marriage!!!

Marriages don't leave much time for fishing either. Congrats on a hog of a splake.

What kind of bait were you using? I may go up to Panguitch and then swing by Navaho Lake on the way home. That is one nice fish! Does the wife fish? I got hooked about 2 years ago when I reeled in 2 trout at one time. Some women don't like the feel of trout but I just take paper towels along to wipe the hands.

Cut bait (CHUBSTEAK) man those things are in there thick! The wife does fish in fact she attempted to grab this rod when it dumped for herself... Marriage almost ended right then and there lol She does enjoy fishing here and there. Mostly she understands and supports that i have an uncontrollable addiction for fishing!!!! I sure picked the right one!
