Haven't been there lately, but I hear its going to be hot this weekend so might be a good time for float tube fishing and lots of liquids. Good luck. Reports on the forum have been pretty ho hum for Mantua and it sounds like the weeds (algae blooms) are showing up. I drive by daily and see some fishing, but never very many out there, so I don't think it is real hot. Report back what ya find. Thanks J

4 boats and 1 tube out there tonight. That's more than usual. Later J

Went up a couple weeks ago, and we did ok. Only found a few bass. Sad to too all the big bull bluegills floating belly up. Gather the real story was a sudden spring warming shocked em, and the suffered stress induced deaths. Fungus on a bunch we saw.

But we found a bunch too. Still some on beds in the shallows, but think we were a couple weeks late for the hot action.

In my book - it was worth the trip! Busy Saturday, lot was pretty full by the time we left, but nice to get out.
