Shoreline fishing around douglas

Hey guys heading up that way in a week and wanting to know some tips. What lures work or if there is any special equipment needed. I'm used to fishing on a river, but just wondering if my tackle will be good enough for the big lake. Thanks in advance.

you cant go wrong with rooster tails, rapallas, jitter bugs, hand tied crawler harnesses with soft plastics.
