My secret spot. Sorry guys.
#1
Hey guys, my apologies. I posted this last night and the links did not work. It was late so I ended passing out and was going to fix this today. Anyways I hit up a stream, ( I am not good at fly fishing so most fish where caught on spinning reel. I killed the stream on the spinning reel!), All fish are wild and there is no stocking where I went. I did not see a single soul for two days. It was me and the wilderness. These fish were awesome. They fought hard. I lost my line to two fish that just slammed my line. I still am curious how big those were. They had to have been monsters. I did land my personal best rainbow trout. This was a fun fight on 4 lb test line. I had to chase it down the creek! I also caught my first brown trout. I have been wanting to catch one for a while! I also found out stinging nettle sucks. Enjoy!

Without giving up your secret spot can you tell me where there are some streams or rivers like this within a couple hours of Vegas?

Monsterfishgame, Bishop CA has great streams and rivers. The way to get wild trout and places that arent occupied is to start hiking! I love to explore, people always wanna go fishing with me and when they find out they gotta walk they bail!

[cool]You are right about that! I have fished all up and down the sierras and the stream fishing is fantastic. Also hiking to the higher lakes and streams will be rewarded with lots of fish and various types of trout. A great hike is Twenty Lakes valley above Saddlebag lake. I saw a guy hiking out with a 14" golden trout caught from one of the lakes.Normally I have seen and caught them to 6-8 inches. And the scenery is great.
