Big black buggers
#1
Tied up a dozen of these for a jig swap. Host gets to pick the rules, and the criteria for this swap were to tie a jig that could catch big trout and was 1/16 or under with eyes and some kind of hackle. A couple of folks who entered live in area too hot for the troots and entered for the challenge, so I wanted to tie something that would also work for bass and crappie.

So I tied a big woolly bugger with synthetic hackle and wiggly legs. These are tied on an O'Shaunessy jig hook with a pinched split shot for the head and are approximately 3" long. Think they will do the trick?

In 1/16 oz, those would slay the big brook trout at Henry's, or anywhere else they thrive. Olive would be another great color.
