I was there Wed morning. Worms will work but cutbait will do too. Fished the southwest end and caught 5 bluegill, 1 wiper, and 1 channel. I didn't move around like I should have. Reports I have read and heard are good for those with boats. I just used worms. Didn't catch a carp for bait, oh well! Good luck and don't forget the bug spray!

Frozen cheese dogs. I think the boaters occasionally drop some table scraps overboard. I have always had success with cheese dogs. Freeze them, so they stay on the hook better.

I fished Willard last Friday morning (July 26) was trolling in a zig-zag kind-of south-east to north-west north of the island. Within the first 15 minutes on the water at about 6:40 AM hooked up a nice Walleye, then a Cat, then a small Wiper (released), then another Cat, another Walleye, another Wiper (released), then a nice keeper Wiper. Decided to take a break, tossed out the anchor, put up the sun top, baited up a couple lines with night crawlers on bottom rigs, and in less than 30 minutes had 3 more cats. Called it a day. But with the low water level, and the hot days, the cats seem to have moved out to relatively cooler, deeper water. Deepest spot I noticed was 14 feet out in the emptiness area north of the island and just about center between east and west walls. Water temp (surface) was 77 at 6 AM and by 1 PM as 88.
