Dog Days of Summer
#1
The past month has been packed full of adventure with my family and friend. My buddy Holdsworth stayed longer than planned and my cousin from Arizona showed up for a visit as well.

We went all over the place and got some fishing in too.

With all that action, there were many photos taken. I've posted a full report on my blog, which can be found by Googling: Utah Water Log

Converting the HTML to IMG codes would require more time than I have for now.

Here are a few pics.

EDIT: Pics didn't work with Photobucket IMG codes.

Please check the blog for more.

Happy Fishing, Humans.

Ugh.

What a pain. BFT doesn't recognize IMG codes from Photobucket anymore eh?

Oh well.

Go to Utah Water Log for the pics. I really don't have the time.

What browser are you using LOAH? Chrome and BFT aren't getting a long right now, but IE9 and FireFox are working fine. I've been using IE9 to direct attach IMG tags from photobucket.

Testing, testing...

Edit: Nope. Formerly, you could use the "Direct" option in Photobucket to C&P. Apparently not now. Using Win 7/Firefox here.

I was still able to directly embed your image with the photobucket direct url ([url "http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c170/RockyRaab/imagesqtbnANd9GcRQhGMXHm9vG2JK_6Siv_zpsdcc00898.jpg)."]http://i27.photobucket.com/...iv_zpsdcc00898.jpg).[/url] You do have to manually insert the image with the "insert image" button here on BFT with the 'insert image' button.

Must be noted that the Insert Image button DOES NOT appear on the Chrome browser. Only FireFox and IE9 or earlier.

Well, I'll be dingled.

Unfortunately, it seems that every flipping message board I visit has different image posting protocols. Why the heck they can't all use the simple IMG /IMG system is beyond me.

Guess I'll have to keep a cheat sheet for every site I visit...

I am thinking that pics failing to upload is far from an "Epic Fail".

EPIC FAIL is more like leaving your tent on public land for a week to "save your spot" and the tent disappears.[pirate]

A more epic fail is that the tent structure holder was fraying up so I laugh if someone took it on a windy rainy day that ruins there day and wished they never took it he he he

Photobucket keeps "trying" to improve and every time they try something new it gets all messed up. Got to there Facebook page and make a stink about it. They get right back to you.

Create a Photobucket account

You will see a text box on the right side entitled "links to share this picture".

Click on the text inside the "URL". It should copy the highlighted text.

Then you can paste it over to BFT.....

It will look like this..........
[URL=[url "http://s1264.photobucket.com/user/UintaFlyGuy/media/IMGP4204_zps6eb43c6a.jpg.html][Image: IMGP4204_zps6eb43c6a.jpg]"]http://s1264.photobucket.com/...ps6eb43c6a.jpg[/IMG][/url][/url]

Delete the 1st part up to "IMG", then delete the last part that says "URL" after the last "IMG".

IMG and IMG should be the beginning and last part of the link code on BFT.

Click Preview Reply to see if it uploaded correctly.

I just tried it with this pic........

AND IT WORKED!

I used to use Summitpost. The place is a mountain website so they caught on to all the fishy pics I was uploading. So I switched to Photobucket, hated it. Learned how to use it, still hated it.

Then they changed it a bit and I loved it. Then came the bandwidth issue on my yellowstone post and I hate it again. My pics were down for a week or more due to all the people viewing my pics.

I always want the pics to show up throughout the report instead of just links at the end. It looks better and isn't such a pain in the butt for the viewers.

Next time I have a big post with over 100 pics I am just gonna link the report to Picasa Web Albums.

Whenever I get home I can make a video of it, upload it to YouTube , and post it up. Sounds good because I'm that nice. [Wink]
