Starvation
#1
Been fishing Starvation today in a bass tournament, but got more walleyes then bass..

We got to Starvation about 5:30 AM and after the check in and pre-tournament meeting we got on with the fishing about 7:00am for me and my team mate it was slow for bass..

The first fish we got was walleye and more eyes..The first bass came about one hour in the day..

We got over 20 walleyes by 3:00pm and only about 15 bass the biggest bass was 2.70# the biggest eye was 29" and just a guess 5 to 6# we got lots of 12 to 14" eyes and only kept the deep hooked ones..

We found in one cove some eyes that was even chasing perch minnows to the top in a boil we got a few and went back to looking for the bass..

Most of the walleyes came in 10' of water..

That sounds like a great bass tourney, 'specially if you like bringing home some 'Eyes, and who doesn't!

Sorry the bass weren't more cooperative for ya, but nice getting on some fish, one kind or another.

Thanks for the report.

If you don't mind me asking, what kind of rig were you using for the eyes?

Thanks again,

Starvation has been production some big walleyes lately. Nice job catching some. Bummer the bass didn't come out to play but at least you were catching a bunch of fish. Just sucks it was during a bass tourny and you were catching fish other than bass. I have never heard of walleyes boiling. That's awesome!

We used two rigs that worked on them one was a drop shot the other was a tube bait.. But all eyes was right under the boat, we dropped down on them when we seen them on the graph..
