We made out again today and I'm glad we did. Today I beat my personal best for chinook. Not in the amount of fish landed but in size. Some of you might remember a few years ago a springer my son and I caught that was close to 30 lbs. well this fish crushed that personal record. We didn't get an official weight or measurements because it was a wild fish and we didn't want to hurt him. Quick picture and it was back in the pond. I won't say what we guessed the weight at because there is always one or two people who pop off with criticism but there were three of us on the boat today and all of us have physically held and weighed 30lb chinook and this was way bigger than anything the three of us have handled.

I ate one yesterday and it was one of the best tasting pieces of fish I've had. Meat was firm and white fat oozed through while it was on the grill.
