Tomorrow will be my first time on Strawberry in many years. Taking my 19 YO daughter fishing one last time before she goes on a church mission. Where is the best place to launch a boat at 7:00 and are fees required? I plan on trolling with popgear, leadcore with rainbow rapalas and jig fishing with white tube jigs with shiners. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and yes I will report my days catch on Wednesday.

Launch at the main marina and head toward the narrows, less wind up that way. My best success was with pearl tube jigs topped with chub meat. Just drift them and give them a little action here and there and you will be in some nice fish! Good luck

We went up yesterday to Renegade and got there at 2:30 pm and fished until sunset. People coming off the lake said they had done well with black marabou jigs, white tube jigs and jakes. We fished crawfish colored 3.5" cut'r bugs tipped with crawlers and did well and then tried 2.5" white curly tail jigs tipped with crawlers and did well also. It seemed most things would work. We caught fish drifting in everything from 10' of water to 30' of water. It was cold in the wind, so dress warmly. We payed via an envelope at the boat ramp.

Thanks for the info...
It sounds like the fish are hungry for anything that looks edible.

And I caught 14 Saturday morning fishing from my tube in the bay by the Soldier Creek Marina ... most came in on a fly but I caught a few on a mix of tube jigs, rapalas, and jakes.
My best was a 20" Cutt caught on a fly. Next best an 18" Cutt on the tube jig. At the end of the day it was about an even mix between Cutts and Bows.... mostly in the 14-16" range.
$7 is the fee to launch up there.

I've been doing real well with a worm below a bobber about 3 feet down. Also with white tube jigs tipped with a worm. I'm going back up Wednesday.

Hey, thank you all for the information. If we don't catch some on Tuesday, I only have myself to blame. I will post a report on Tuesday night.
