Just a heads up to anyone thinking of hitting Scofield in the near future. My buddy and I hit it this morning and discovered that the weed beds have died/are dying and have choked parts of the lake with dead weeds, and made it very murky. We fished our butts off for one 15" tiger and five dink cutts. To top it off the wind started to blow moderately (15/20 mph), and never let up. No problems getting my 17ft Lund launched. FYI [cool] Fred.

I was thinking about going there on Monday but maybe I'll have to decide on somewhere else.[bobyell]

I took my tube up this morning and caught 7 between 8 and noon. Four of the seven came in my last half hour (finally found the buggers and what they were biting on just before quitting time).
Most came in on a chartreuse tube jig tipped with chub meat. A gold Jakes and Chub rapalla accounted for the rest.
I caught all cutts. One was 18", one was 16", the rest were 12-13".
