It's here! It's here!

I have been watching the Snotel sites. The temps were promising and decided to give it a shot. Some of the Mirror Lake highway lakes have some ice!!! I have waited 5 months to walk on hard water!!

Tip-toe on.

Three questions...How far can you make it up SR-150? How thick is the ice? How did you do?

I figured there probable was some fishable ice by now. Pass Lake was covered with a half inch last weekend. I'm still looking for open water however.

Beat the twins did you. Crazy to have 3" of ice already, but I've never seen Cutler with ice on the duck hunt opener before either. Way to cold too early this year. Probably be a great ice season if we don't get too much snow on it. May have to get my snowmobile running again. Congrats on the first of the year. Later J

I just wonder why the photo is dated from last winter in Feb? (teehee - made ya look! KIDDING!!!!)

I'll say, ya got nads. I've done some early ice, I think last year was our thinnest, - it was a short pucker trip!

Guess that opens the ice contest? If it's played from "fishable ice". Wink
So where's the fishpix? I love ice, but I'm with the guys, I'm still dipping in some wet water. Though I oughta start dusting off the sleds and shortrods!

Thanks for the report, and hey - welcome.

Thanks for the welcoming! Unfortunately the "good" ice is weeks away.. still felt good
to walk on some water after a 5 month hiatus! [sly]

Yeah he did this year. My wasatch lakes are not even close to freezing yet. The uintas always has the advantage.

Still I say if there are no fishy pics, someone got SKUNKED![Wink]

Yep time to put away the clubs and get on with the ski season!

Here is a shot from last week when my twin and I hit Alta Ski resort..... for the second time this year.

Not much for snow on the roads. Clean and clear. Off the road it varied. Some places were just a dusting, others like the Bald Mountain trailhead were about 7-8"... it won't
be sticking around long. Warm temps and no storms...[:/]

First isn't all its cracked up to be, but when it's time it's fun to do. Besides you'd hate to miss other things right. Later J
