Deer creek carp

Caught a monster carp while trolling with a crank bait (didn't know they liked those), no exaggeration it was easily 15 lbs. I see the appeal of catching them now, the drag let out so much line I thought I had snagged a tree! I didn't want to touch the scaley monster, so grabbed the lure with my pliers, it started thrashing, bent the hooks, and was off! Trout fishing ended up being ok, caught maybe 10 in 3 hours.

Welcome to the site Fishy43, yea those carp are powerful fighter, they sure are fun until you see what they are[]. They will bitej ust about anything when they want a meal.

I had a nice fight up at starvation a couple years back with a carp. Pulled me and my toon out to sea a little bit.

Carp are the BEST! I have landed a couple out of Deer Creek []


They do pull you around a bit, but I do think they are selective as to what they hit. As WH2 said, it musta been hungry.
