Why isn't there walleye in Pineview and muskie in Willard? All the fishing shows I watch they catch these two breeds in the same waters?

My best guess is because they are not native to Utah. The Feds and DWR will not allow invasive species (that can reproduce) to populate a reservoir or river due to other species being native. Ex. the June sucker in Utah Lake the humpback chub, razorback sucker, Virgin River Chub and the Colorado Squaw fish and the wound fin found in other waters.

The Muskie are tigers which are sterile. They are not planted in Willard. Walleyes are not sterile but are not planted in pineview.

I heard from a little birdie at the division that they are trying to find a good source of saugeye for the view. They may have had a shipment cancelled due to weather last year.

WH2, Like I was telling you today at the north end, I'm pretty sure there are more Tigers in WB. I've had several hard hit and runs and then whatever it is snaps off just before the boat. Maybe a large Wiper, but from what my daughter has told me of the one she lost last year, she said she saw enough of it to be pretty sure it was longer than a Wiper, and much heavier than any of the Wiper she has caught before. Oh well....?? Who knows.??
But here are a couple more photos of the Musky I told you about today. The one on my credit card. And the one my youngest son caught just one week later [signature]

Yea, one of the DNR folks posted about them putting saugeye in PV. I guess they feel the Tigers are not doing a good job of controling the perch population. I think the Saugeye could help keep the perch numbers down
