Starvation 11/9 and 11/10
#1
Camped and fished Starvation 11/9 and 11/10 (only camper at the beach campground, nice except the power was not turned on until Saturday late).

Rainbows were schooling at the launch ramp Saturday morning, watched 2 fly fisherman slaying them one after another, they were school sized so not much to brag about. I couldn't bring myself to fish while people were trying to launch boats so found a couple nice dropoffs, caught 4 nice rainbows pretty quick with crankbaits.

Sunday caught about 20 rainbows trolling, all fish were caught on crankbaits running about 15' deep in 20-45' of water. Fish were smaller on Sunday, but pretty aggressive.

That's pretty cool. Were you in a cabin? That's a lot of fish to eat [laugh]

We brought the toy hauler. I'm primarily a bass fisherman and keep a couple limits of trout that I smoke.

We got there at 9:45pm on Friday night, the signs (and internet) said that the Beach and Mountain View campgrounds had electricty. We found Mountain View did have the power turned on but the Beach didn't. We like to stay on beach for the kids to play so we just camped off the batteries the first night and they turned the power on sometime on Saturday.
I'm sure that if noone is in the park they just turn it off to save a dime.

nice catch, did you see any walleye caught? Did the rainbows have eggs that were ripe? I may head up Wed.
