I had a little time before turkey dinner. So my son and I went up to Scofield to check on the ice. The lake is still caped with one inch of ice. So it will be a little longer.

Good news!! Thanks for posting , I have to work every day this weekend so by next week it should be good to go. The post makes it sound like the whole lake is capped, is it? If that the case, let the hard deck fishing begin.

Did you check the dam arm? Was gonna head up tomorrow, but maybe not.. Usually the dam arm is a few inches ahead of the rest of the lake..

Yes I checked the dam arm. It was only one inch. And the whole lake is caped.
