The 4th Annual Steinaker Ice Fishing Derby is set for February 15, 2014. Come out and enjoy a great day of ice fishing on Steinaker Reservoir with the family. There is and adult bracket and a youth bracket (16 and under). There will also be a drawing for prizes at the end of the derby. There is a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in each bracket for the longest trout. The winners will all receive a gift certificate to Basin Sports for the following places: Adults 1st place ($200), 2nd place ($125), and 3rd Place ($75) and the Youth 1st place ($50), 2nd place ($30), and 3rd ($20).
The entry cost is $15/ adult and $10/youth. Registration will be from 6:30 - 10:00 a.m. and fishing will go from 7:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. The derby is limited to 200 participants so you can reserve you spot by calling Steinaker State Park at 435-789-4432. Additional information is also available at the park.
