Heavy traffic is what you will experience if you set up near any main lake access point like ramps or roads. Small bays that lead nowhere reduce the traffic.

Never had much luck strawberry ice fishing myself but, 3 years ago green paddle bugs at Deer Creek were the Hot Jig for me tipped with a wax worm by the provo inlet through the Ice.
The last 2 years, not so much so. ready to try them again this year though, sportsman warehouse in provo had plenty of them yesterday.

Paddle Bugs work fine at Strawberry, except that I lose more fish when I use them (because of their small hooks). You just need to walk further to get away from the heavy snowmobile traffic. That said, I have still had a few buzz by me when I have walked almost a mile from where I walked onto the ice.

Just replace the jig heads with better jigs. Chart Paddle bugs are a long time killer at Strawberry. Just use a little glue on a glow or chart jig head to attach to the Paddle Bugs. Check Walmart and Kmart
