Scofield 12-7
#1
Me and a buddy went to Scofield this morning. We fished the northern arm in a little less then 20 feet of water. Most of the fish were caught near the bottom. He caught mostly cutts I caught mostly bows. Used an assortment of tackle below an attractor tipped with wax worms.

I went to the north arm on Sat just before sundown while it was snowing. It was cold but very peaceful because for some reason no one else was there. I fished right up against the shore, at the rocks along the north side of the boat ramp, in 3 to 7 feet of water. I used my fish finder in the 7' hole, and it showed fish all over the place, and when I dropped my line in I could see the fish converge on it before it even hit the bottom. Fishing was excellent--I usually hooked one within a minute or two after I put my line in. Almost all of them were cuts in the 10-14" range, with a few rainbows mixed in. I used frozen redside minnows and nightcrawlers for bait. Both worked well, but the cuts seemed to favor the minnows. My rig was really simple--just an unpainted 1/8oz jig head with a minnow hooked through the back, no attractor or spoon or colors or anything else was needed. I've also done really well with just a snelled hook with a split shot on it. Ice was solid, around 3-4".

If you are anywhere near Lehi, the Sinclair on 73 (main street) has them.

Thanks guys. If you're off tomorrow, I'll be there with my buddy hopefully not pulling a wheeler out of the lake.

I won't be off tomorrow, otherwise I'd head up there with you. However, I'm planning on taking off Thurs and maybe Fri as well to try Lost Dog at the Gorge. I'm hoping the ice will be thick enough there due to all this recent cold. If not I'll try Firehole.
