Mantua today! 12-13-13

Took a buddy from work fishing today at mantua, it was his first time ice fishing. We only caught trout but it was such a blast! I ended up with 9 and him 2, but first time with my new hut and first "real" trip of the year. Went from 11 am to 4 pm. Had a blast, cannot think of a better way to spend a Friday. Like I said we caught 11 total and released bigger ones than what we caught but wasn't aware of limit so was happy playing safe, all above 14 inches. Great Friday!

I drove by yesterday and saw all the shacks at the south end. How thick is the ice now? I am planning on heading out this afternoon (12/14/13).

I'd say it was 4 inches. It was a nice day out there, definitely going to go back next weekend, this Sunday is scofield.
