I drove by about 30 minutes ago and even the edges are ice free. DC is deeper so it usually takes more time to freeze.

[#0000ff]DANG! Right in the middle of putting up the tubes and breaking out the ice fishing gear.

Might be able to do both on the same day if we time it right. Almost did it last year when those ice sheets were floating by our tube and toon with trout on them.

Actually, when I checked the date on the attached pic...of a rainbow laying on floating ice...that trip was the first week of January, 2012...and DC had still not frozen.

[#0000FF]Sorry, my computer was fighting off a terminal slowdown from those banner ads on top again. I had to wait a couple of seconds for each key stroke to register and inadvertantly went "back to the future"...or whatever.

I don't even think there was a Deer Creek Reservoir in those days (1912). But there were probably more June suckers in Utah Lake.

I'd love to take a freeze trip up to Deer Creek next week to test out the pedal drive again and get one last tube trip in.

I am really hoping DC is still ice free by Friday as that is the day I have targeted to get it out on the water again.
