6 inches of ice at cottonwood. Fishing same as last year. Who else was there? We were east.

Sounds great, hope to be there next Friday I will probably pack my shot gun along with a couple jig rods and try for some geese as well if the ice holds up. Looks like they are calling for warmer weather this coming week.

1 in 5 is a jumbo, but it was non stop action. Lots of geese flying around. Phone went dead before I got fish pics, but got some ice ice hole.

My cousin from Meridian was there yesterday as well. He said there were 1/2 dozen or so other fisherman and he had 4 inches of ice where he was at. Same story on the fishing, he had to weed thru the small ones but ended up keeping 15 of the big perch. He did tell me to throw my SX3 in the truck so we can go after some geese as well. Guess I'll be headed that way come Thurs. afternoon. [Smile]

Went out today to CJ to fish today saw one guy fall through near a pressure ridge and decided to check the thickness of the ice with all the cracking and bubles in the ice. Drilled a test hole and the Ice was only 4 inches where we were. Decided to pack it up and head off the ice . I will wait until there is at least 6 inches before I head back. Lots of folks out there catching fish though.
