Fishing License Question..13 turning 14
#1
I understand that kids age 12-13 need to buy a license and it is a lot less than one a 14 year old will buy.

If a 13 year old buys a fishing license this week, then turns 14 on the 22nd of Dec.....I assume that the license will expire immediately and he will have to buy a new license after his 14th birthday.
Correct?

I couldn't find it clearly spelled out in the proclamation (or I just missed it) and needed clarification.

Thanks

The license is valid for 365 days. If you wait until after the 22nd, you'll have to buy the license for over 14 year olds. Buy it before his birthday.

Yep the license will show your kids B-day on it and the date of purchase on it so it will show when purchased your kids were 13. And will be valid until it expires a year from the date of purchase.
