Are you wanting to fish from a boat or through the ice?

Recent reports I have heard have been a little slow, but that can change quickly. Fish the northern third in 10-40 ft of water off of rocky structure. Use fresh sucker or chub meat on a glow in the dark soft plastic of some sort, and take a heater. Can get cold at night up there.

Also recharge your jigs often and use all 6 poles and if you aren't catchin any move til you find em we have caught them in shallow so don't over look the 15-20 range too. Take ice cleats the ice can be very slick. We went last weekend on the ice and it was very slow we only caught 8 between 3 of us. Good luck ain't gonna catch em if ya don't go [

I caught fish into the middle of march last year. The key is finding an area where the fish want to be.
