Go to Lindon harbor but that place charge $5 or go to af harbor where that place is free. Best time too fish is from 8am - 1 or 2 pm

Small jigs tip with worm or wax worm for bg, sunfish, and crappie. White bass usually like 1/16 oz jig with squid like tubies or even like a cast master or sinking minnow lures like dynamic that you can grab at cabelas. Cabelas open at 9am.

Good luck out there.

AF harbor is NOT FREE!! It's $5 to drive in and park. Read the sign when entering. Its open 365 days a year. Just because they may not show up and check you doesn't make it free.

Enter with not paying at your own risk.

its the people that go into places without paying are the ones who ruin it for the honest paying people down the road...

I'm pretty sure there have been a new rule that have played in with AF that it's free now during winter. You might want too talk to other people who actually fish the place all the time.

Might want to look on the right side not the left side of the entrance when the pay is in affect.

There's still a stack of envelopes at AF and the payment box is not closed... Is there a sign that says you do not have to pay during the winter?

From what the twins told me and many other guys who fish that place a lot told me you don't have too pay. As well the board on the right got the date that shows when you have too pay. There is one guys that I meet 3 times at af and he told me as well you don't have too pay. From what I've been hearing around that only af harbor is free in the winter and the other harbors still make you pay.

Can you post a photo of the sign that lists the dates when payment is required? Maybe that would settle this dispute and also educate the rest of us.

Redfrog seems adamant about the fee being required, and for substantiation he refers to the sign that he posted a photo of. His argument seems reasonable; however, the sign says that there is a fee and that the park is open all year, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the fee is required all year. It's a reasonable conclusion but strictly speaking it's not a foregone conclusion. The city of AF, not a sign, determines when the fee must be paid, and the city can countermand a sign anytime it wants.

In the absence of a photo of the sign you spoke of, one could always call the city of AF (801-763-3000) or the Utah Lake Commission (801-851-2900) to find out for certain. I tried calling both today but neither are in the office on Fridays.

I agree, the original question was not answered.
We did go on Wed and caught 30+' mostly blue Gil's, perch, crappie and WB

And we did pay the fee.

Any suggestions on what to use/ where to go for them little fish? I'm not used to fishing for them and went today, not a single bite. I was in AF boat harbor, fishing a little ways away from those docks. Used ice flies tipped with meal worms, as small as I could make em.

We were using wax worms, right in the corners of the docks.
