been to matua 3 time in the last week every time limit of trout some up to 20 in aint been able to find no perch or gills but trout are tasty enough fer me i aint fished more than about 600 yards from the inlet open water in about 7 foot of water

Try deeper water. I've faced the same thing, we've limit items out on about 18 inch rainbows the last three trips out, but haven't gotten into perch, maybe one or two total... I've heard deeper water so that's what instruction I'm following next time

ya ive herd that as well maybe ill head fer the point next time maibe ill take my quad out git there faster saw a few quads last time i was out

Yea we had a few roll past us. If u get in them let me know! I might try PV for some perch, heard they've gotten bigger than last year's

couldnt keep the perch and blues off my line on friday.. only caught two bows

i was in 12ft of water. straight out from the inlet. kept drillin till i found deeper water... then i got tired of drilling and called 12ft home for the evening.

I'm gonna head out tomorrow, what where ya using for the perch? I'll be in a dark blue shappell 6000 hut, feel free to give a knock if anyone's there

Fished there on Friday and Saturday. We caught about 150 perch and bluegill. Most perch were in the 7-10 inch range. I was using a small glow or white ice fly tipped with a waxy. Early morning we couldn't keep them off. As the sun came up the only way to catch them was to watch the aqua vu.
