I fished PV yesterday afternoon for a couple hours in proven Slab territory. I caught about 40 fish total and about 1/4 of those were Crappie. The perch were nice size - at least bigger than last years dinks - but the crappie were all about 7".

The area I was in was very safe I would say. Probably 6" of good clear ice and 2" of frozen slush.
