Some of these heavily monitored post get so cut up that it is like reading every other word. Specially post by FFL and PBH. I would make more sense to edit the answers as well.

I think the editing of posts is a bit ridiculous. Like suggested before -- lock the threads. Leave the posts. Highlight the sections that are against forum rules and make an example out of the offending poster for others to see. We all learn from others mistakes -- so stop hiding them.

There's no picking involved, tbh. I think I may have bumped into him on the Jordan a week or two ago up by the lake, and have since thought it might be a good idea to actually get to know him in real life, versus what I think I know about him and his internet persona. One of my New Years resolutions is to be more open minded and to fish more. This seemed like a great way to kill two birds, so to speak.

I honestly didn't think he would want to go with me, which is why I asked for a PM -- I certainly wasn't expecting the response he gave me, however. It's all good though, sometimes you reap what you sow. (Or is it reep what you sew?)
