Otter
#1
Made the trip down to the Otter, fished the state park Bay Area drilled a bunch of holes, hardley anything on the finder or Aqua vu. Scratched 3 nice bows for the day. Ice was about 10" with 1" crusted snow, nice day, but the fishing sucked! FYI talked to a few other guys same luck as myself..

Hey thanks for sharing Hookinup. Kids remember them big old fat rainbows. I know what you mean about the kid putting a whoopin on ya. I had to give mine a knick name for doing it to me. we call him DaBomb. Just when you least expect it he will put the Bomb on ya and catch all the fish. In fact when we lived down in sevier county we would go catch them big old fat rainbows like that and he loved it when he could walk in the house and tell my wife Mom ask Dad who the man is. So I would have to say you da man. Enjoy them while they are young cause they grow fast. [Image: happy.gif]

You need to try a different part of the lake. Every trip I have been down on I have taken more then that out of there. The biggest we have caught is 4 pounds. It may take a couple of weeks for the bigger ones to come in. They are just starting to filter in to spawn. We fish in 3 to 8 feet of water. Fish shallow and that should produce better fishing. Out the last 4 trips down, I have brought back four 4 pounders and a dozen 3- 3.5 pounders. I live in payson and it is a drive for me myself. I wouldn't drive that far if the fish wasn't as big as they are. Give it till mid january and it should pick up and produce some big spawners.
