want something near by so I thought of rock port but I haven't fished there in years any locations to start for perch or trout we have snowmobile and can travel a bit thanks in advance

The perch are usually in 40-50 feet of water. As I said in my post I didnt find any keeper size. Trout are cruising anywhere from 8-20 feet and a few browns are also right on the bottom. I prefer the upper half of the lake but I think you can find trout almost any location. The perch seem to be more on the upper end from my past experience. I would probably head closer to the west side and find the right depth if you have a snow machine. Good luck.

we have fished the rock 4 time so far this year , have done the best on the west side out from the last bathroom before the dam. we were fishing in 42 ft of water, bow's were coming through around 10-15ft also caught a couple right of the bottom. waxe's and a red salmon egg worked best for us. have been out a little deeper looking for perch haven't found them yet.
