I need some help with my trip to the lower provo tomorrow. I don't know much about winter flyfishing on the lower provo exept the fact that I will have the river almost to my self! But I don't know what flys might be good, I was thinking I would just use some prince and pheasant tail nymphs and see what happens. But I now that midges might be coming off to and I have never used a midge in my life! I have some but don't know how to fish them.
Thanks hunter.

I did the lower Provo today and I got to tell you it was tough. 3 fish in six hours. Those came at about 3-4 pm and one on a red disco midge and two on a sow bug.
BTW you fish midges just like you do any other nymph.

Try some Haresears and CJ's too, but think smaller. Try a midge as a dropper.

Sorry for the late post. It sucked! So slow only hade one on and he managed to get off. There was a lot of people fishing, all said they didn't catch nothing.
