Fishing near Clearfield, UT?
#1
Hello! I'm moving to Utah in 5 days, and have never been there in my life. I've been googling close fishing spots to Clearfield, and come back with minimal results. Main two I see are small stocked lakes. Anyone know of any bigger size natural lakes with in an hour or so of Clearfield? Main thing I'm going on is google maps, and I see a lot bodies, but can't find info on them. I know the Great Salt Lake doesn't yield much life, but what about some of the small beds that seem to "branch" off of it?

If anyone knows any good holes, please share! I'd love to hear all you can think of, including man made!

I would like to get a list going, and that's something I'm very surprised I can't accomplish with google. I just seem to see more potenial fishing spots on maps than I can find on google. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hey welcome and you came to the right spot to learn about the local fishing. Lots to do in this area, high mountain lakes in the Uintas for summer fun and within 3 or 4 hours drive you have Flamming Gorge, Yellowstone, island park, and tons of other stuff in Wyoming and Idaho plus lots more. If you like fishing, you'll love it here. Welcome and we look forward to your posts. Later J

A good source of information of Utah fishing spots is the "Utah Division of Wildlife resources" website. Just google it.

Click on the "Fishing" and then on "Where to fish". A map will come up showing most of the fishing spots in Utah.

The site also contains the Regullations for fishing, license information, etc..

Good luck and welcome to the BFT!
