I don't know, but am willing to guess the ice is very safe, but is being protectively guarded by a vicious slush monster.....

The slush is exactly what I'm curious about. Causey was a freaking disaster yesterday due to the slush bomb that exploded there.

We were fishing Company Pond on Saturday. On our way off the ice we talked to a couple of guys who had just come from Lost Creek. They said it was a blizzard up there on Saturday. I have a hunch that slush is also an issue at Lost Creek.

sunday was a slush bomb, it was walking through about of foot of water/slush on the bank to get on the just slushy snow.

That's exactly how Causey was! Guess it'll be rivers for me for the time being. Unless Strawberry's slush isn't as bad but still not sure if its worth the drive from Ogden.

Just read a post on the Strawberry Slush monster from OCF. Sounds like the much needed snow is here, but having it all at once is making the lakes unfishable.

I fished pineview and causey on Sunday and our feet were soaking wet all day. Six inches if water on the ice everywhere. I think we're gonna have that slushy problem at all our lower elevation lakes until ice season is over.
